Hi, I’m Vonetta
Founder of The Shaman’s Apprentice™ Method and The New Dawn Institute for Peace & Harmony
I help therapists, coaches, and healers to unlock breakthroughs when even the best processes reach their limit—so they can guide their clients into true transformation and rise into their soul’s highest calling.
With a degree in Cultural Anthropology from Cornell University, decades of training in Kriya Yoga, Tibetan Buddhism, and Indigenous traditions, along with a background as an Emmy-award–winning artist, I bridge ancient wisdom with modern health leadership. For over a decade, I’ve led more than 800 transformational retreats worldwide, guiding doctors, therapists, psychologists, and entrepreneurs—including billionaires—through profound healing and liberation.
In 2015, I founded a Mystery School and my sacred work continues through The Shaman’s Apprentice™ Method, a six-month Shamanic Practitioner Certification Program that trains therapists, coaches, and healers in the tools of deep shamanic facilitation.
I teach methodologies in shamanism to the School of Social Work at UNC Chapel Hill, offering continuing education credits for mental health professionals.
I am also currently developing The New Dawn Institute for Peace and Harmony, a nonprofit regenerative wellness and research center with Dr. Nakia Gordon (PhD of Neuroscience), Craig Stephen (financial consultant, Environmental Science Advisory Board, community builder), and Helaman Tangiora (Maori transformational leader) to support healing and integrative education at the intersection of science, spirit, and social impact.
